Discovering The Root of Your Drinking Habits

This course isn’t about shame, willpower, or strict rules. It’s about gently understanding what’s underneath, the parts of you that learned to cope by disconnecting and numbing with alcohol, and how to meet them with compassion instead of control.

By the end of this journey, you’ll:
✨ Understand the real reasons you reach for a drink — and what your body and emotions are actually asking for.
✨ Feel a sense of relief and self-forgiveness instead of guilt and shame.
✨ Have practical tools to regulate your nervous system and meet your needs in healthy, nurturing ways.
✨ Reconnect with a calm, grounded version of yourself who no longer needs alcohol to feel okay.

Because overdrinking isn’t the problem, it’s the protector.
And when you learn how to meet the part of you that’s been hurting, you break the cycle not with force, but with compassion.

Whether you're sober-curious, tired of the cycle, or simply open to understanding yourself on a deeper level, you're in the right place!

What’s inside

Part One: Awareness & Connection

In Part One, you’ll begin gently peeling back the layers of your drinking habits by reconnecting with your inner child—the younger part of you that learned to cope through numbing, avoiding, or disconnecting. Through daily prompts and guided visualizations, you’ll explore the emotional patterns and subconscious beliefs that may be driving your relationship with alcohol. This week is about awareness without shame, and curiosity without judgment.

Part Two: Integration & Rewiring

Part Two is all about applying what you’ve uncovered. You’ll learn how to meet your triggers with compassion, begin reparenting the parts of you that feel unsafe, and start creating new internal responses that don’t involve alcohol. Through future-self work, nervous system tools, and reframing exercises, you’ll begin to rewrite the emotional blueprint that’s kept you stuck—so you can move forward with clarity, safety, and self-trust.

What Is Your Inner Child?

The inner child is the part of you that still carries your earliest experiences — from childhood through adolescence into young adulthood. It holds your needs, fears, joys, and the ways you first learned to feel safe or loved.

These experiences become stored in your subconscious, quietly shaping how you think, react, and respond in your adult life. Even as adults, that younger self still lives within us, influencing our emotions, habits, and coping patterns.

Inner child work is the process of reconnecting with that part of yourself — understanding what it needed, and offering it the love and compassion it always deserved. Over time, this practice helps you reparent the parts of you that went without, allowing you to show up as your most grounded, magnetic, and authentic self

Is This Course For You?

This journey is for you if you:

  • Hold it all together: career, relationships, workouts -yet feel an underlying exhaustion from constantly managing it all.

  • Find yourself reaching for a glass of wine to “turn off” after being on all day.

  • Know deep down that alcohol isn’t the solution anymore, but you’re not sure what’s driving the habit.

  • Want a compassionate, guided space to finally understand your emotions instead of fighting them.

  • Crave clarity, calm, and confidence in your alcohol-free (or sober-curious) path, without rigid rules or labels.

If you’ve outgrown the version of you that needs to numb to cope—or you’re simply exhausted from the cycle of knowing drinking isn’t serving you anymore, this course is your space to meet yourself with honesty, compassion, and calm, and finally feel like you again.

✺ Frequently asked questions ✺

  • This course is for the person who is sober curious or already sober and looking for deeper healing around the “why” behind their current or old drinking habits and triggers.

  • That’s okay. This course isn’t about labels or forcing a decision—it’s about getting curious. Healing The Hidden Self is for anyone who’s ever wondered, “Why do I keep reaching for alcohol when I’m overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected?”

You don’t need to be sober or planning to quit. You just need to be open to exploring what’s underneath the habit—because that’s where the real freedom begins.

  • 20-30 minutes is plenty of time to get through the daily course work which includes guided visualizations and journaling.

  • Most programs focus on willpower, rules, or counting days. This one goes deeper. Healing The Hidden Self isn’t about just stopping the behavior—it’s about getting curious about why the behavior exists in the first place. We gently explore emotional patterns, unmet needs, and subconscious beliefs that often drive drinking… so you can create lasting change from the inside out.

  • Yes! That is the beauty and benefit of this course. Show up when it feels good and go at your own pace. The course is created to show up daily for 14 days straight, but the work is still beneficial what pace you go.

  • Nope. You never have to share anything you’re not ready for. This course is private, self-paced, and designed to be gentle. You’ll reflect through writing, guided visualizations, and prompts—but always at your own pace. You are in full control of how deep you go. This isn’t about reliving the past—it’s about rewriting how you relate to it now.

  • Your inner child is the part of you that still carries the feelings, beliefs, and experiences from when you were young—especially the ones you didn’t fully understand or process at the time. These memories and emotional patterns live in your subconscious, which means they can quietly influence how you think, react, and cope as an adult—often without you even realizing it.

  • A lot of our adult coping habits—like drinking to escape, numb, or feel in control—are actually responses to old emotional wounds. Inner child healing helps you identify the real root: the part of you that didn’t feel safe, loved, or seen. When we meet that part with compassion instead of alcohol, everything starts to shift.
